Ah! another trade done, this time with the wonderful ~black-shirt-red-tie! Her awesome wolf dragon, Primus!
I copyed your backgrounds!XD I wanted to put him in a forest, in hopes of making his colors stand out. If you absolutly hate it I can put up the version without the background

i dont get it! how can my equines, and even felines, turn out so well and my canines turn out crappy!
Well i did use no ref for this, maybe thats why. But the sketches i was doing of canines with refs were turning out even worse!DX

The deep red color of the wolf gives a good contrast to the whole picture, and works well with the environment the wolf's in. It gives a fresh feeling.
I don't think you have "failed" this picture - of course everyone makes small mistakes but these are probably best cured with constant practice.
